I value the rawness of candid moments. While capturing details, coordinating group photos and posing the couple for portraits are an important factor in the timeline of a wedding day, I also like to stress the importance of focusing on the joy of the day and living in the moment rather than the pose of the photo.
The real moments of guests laughing, the smiles shared between a bride and groom right after the ceremony ends, the stealing of kisses between the couple amongst the crazy dance floor, the parents faces as they watch the kids they raised become adults and marry the person they love… all of these moments are the captured so the memories of the day can be artfully preserved. There is always time for beautiful scenic portraits, but there is so much value in looking through a photo album in 10 years and remembering all the laughs shared on your beautiful day.
